The “Washington Road Underpass Project” is now a 120 foot long passable tunnel. The road bed is twenty six feet beneath Washington Road. The twenty six foot wide tunnel links the Augusta National to almost forty acres owned by the club.

Phase one of the development will be the Global Broadcast Village, a high tech sports production facility. According to the AJC, “The centerpiece will be a new television and digital compound.
Enhanced digital offerings will include images of every player making every shot of his round, available on the Masters’ digital platform within a few minutes of the actual shot beginning this year.”

According to Golf Digest, the National is adding over 200 pine, oak and holly trees. Note the size of the pine trees planted along the ramp.
