AUGUSTA, GA - In a stunning interpretation of the sound of jazz, Larry Slezak leaves the southwest region and the Houston bar scene in an explosion onto the mainstream market with “No Worries.”

With years of experience and a talent for distinctly crafted saxophone grooves, Slezak offers a combination of innovation and nature with the composition of these works. Composing with a sense of purpose, Slezak takes new and old songs that allow him to re-invent the melodies in his own voice. In so doing, Slezak builds a memorial of sound blistered with intrinsic fortitude.

Particular highlights can be found in the innovative explosions referred to on the album jacket as “Distant Harmony,” “Chico and the Man,” and “No Worries.”  Particular fascination may be found in the vocal tracks, which offer a glance at the interplay of smooth instrumentation with a haunting voice. Within this setting, songs like “Cry Me a River” and “Wee Small Hours” provide a beautiful balance to the construction of melody throughout the instrumental only portion of the record. Listeners in search of strength, inspiration and energy may be best served by automatically turning to the tracks like “You’ve Changed” and “How about You” for a sweet release.

Performed with fingers that seem to be built for a saxophone’s neck, Slezak’s offering should provide would-be listeners with nothing to worry about and a lot to enjoy and absorb.
