John R.B. “Jack” Long of John R.B. Long P.C., better known as Paige Tucker of NBC 26’s husband, was installed as president-elect of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia on June 6 during the organization’s annual meeting. He was sworn in by Justice Keith Blackwell of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
He will be installed as the 69th president of the State Bar of Georgia YLD in June 2015.
The YLD is comprised of approximately 10,000 lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Georgia who are 36 years old or younger or who have been admitted to their first bar no more than five years.
We called the State Bar of Georgia for comment but unfortunately the voicemail system greeted us (the office was closed) and wished us a happy Memorial Day and informed us they would be back in the office Tuesday, May 27.
Long is a passionate attorney and well liked by his peers. Recently he has been deeply involved in the Sentinel Offender Services litigation.
As of press day, Jack and Paige have 22 days left before the birth of their first child. We wish them the best and congratulations.
