Riverwatch Brewery intends to open a nano-brewery in the former furniture store after their plans for locating along the Augusta Common were scuttled late last year. That’s when engineers discovered the building they were planning on moving into was unstable.
Riverwatch Brewery was the city’s first locally owned and operated packaging brewery since the demise of the Augusta Brewing Company in the era of Prohibition.
Osbon Building update
The building along the Augusta Common, which is owned by the Morris family, is currently in the process of being stabilized. This will allow the lane of Reynolds Street which has been closed to traffic since September of 2019 to be reopened while the company works to develop their next step with the building.
New Billiard Hall on Broad Street in the Works
