For decades, the elbow of Surrey Center was the nightclub epicenter of Augusta.

While the larger of the two bars rotated owners and concepts (Chevy’s, the Library) the Surrey Tavern stayed true to its roots.

The Hill haunt was THE place to kick back on weeknights in Augusta, and good luck squeezing in on the weekends when Tutu and Playback the Band performed every Friday and Saturday.

Those days are long gone, and the Tavern is soon to re-open, but not as a bar, but a proper restaurant.
Plans call for the Sol Food Kitchen to be open (drumroll please) before Masters.

Stay tuned…
